Local Wildlife

There is a feeder on the balcony, but the birds are very cautious. This is the best picture I've managed thus far. It would seem the Canon is not particularly well-suited to nature photography.

Still Going

The orchids continue to blossom. Thanks, Mom!

Tandoori Sign

Spotted this on Prospect today and it made me smile. Are you a be-leaver?

Yellow Roses

A bouquet of sunshine for £2.99 from my local M&S. Unbeatable! Forgive the corny rhymes.

Evening

I thought I would see how well the camera worked in low light. Not great is the short answer. I will continue to experiment.

Dogs in Rain Togs

Fantastic! I have never seen two dogs look so foolish yet seem so comfortable. She must have trained them from birth.

Saturday, November 17

Birthday Blossoms

The orchids are continuing to bloom after over two weeks.

Night sky in Caversham

Now that the clocks have gone back, the days are getting so much shorter.

Friday, November 9

Condensation

I didn't quite manage to get the shot I was after, but this was the best I could manage.

Tuesday, November 6

Fallen leaves

After a windy week, most of the leaves have blown off the trees.

Someday I will tire of roses, but today is not that day.

Sunday, November 4

Misty Morning

It was quite misty this morning when I woke up. The city was invisible and no one seemed to be out on the tow path. It's since burned off and promises to be a nice sunny day.

The First Day of November

I didn't have much time today to take pictures, but when I looked out my window, I noticed the birds were grazing very close to the back garden. If you look closely, one of the swans is being very lazy and sitting down to eat.

Here is one of the late roses. Not bad for November!
