It is so windy today: 26-50 km/h. All the leaves are finally coming off the trees. I shot this is in the back garden.

Friday, October 24

Blackout

There was an isolated blackout just before 9.00. It felt so odd to be without electricity. The house was completely still, and it proved impossible to do anything but go to sleep.

Circa 1964

While I may have played a role in creating this image, it's not strictly a picture I've taken. But this is as good as it's going to get today. Here's me, if I graduated in 1964. Check out the site if you have a few hours to kill.

Sunset

Taking in the park while walking the dogs. A very nice end to the day.

Tree in Morning

The first thing I saw worth seeing this morning. I had just let the dogs out and wasn't completely awake, so it's a little shaky.

Monday, October 20

Ice in the Bucket

The shapes were much cooler looking at 10.00, but I forgot to take the picture until later on that morning.

A Killing Frost

It had to happen sooner or later. The temperature finally dipped below freezing last night, but I have no complaints. I was expecting snow. Maybe tomorrow.

Rainy Days

Now that the weather has returned to normal for this time of year, we've had nothing but rain, much to the chagrin of my four-legged friends.

Signs of Fall II

The leaves are starting to pile up.

Sunday, October 5

Signs of Fall

Do crocs freeze? If so, I should think about taking them in.

Saturday, October 4

Air Cadets

They were collecting today.

Friday, October 3

Fire Hydrant

While the weather has been unseasonably warm, it was still too cold to frolic in the spray.
