Bird on Deck

There was something wrong with this bird. It seemed stunned and let me get far too close with the camera. In the end, I left it to recover and it did eventually fly away.

I don't usually take a tripod with me on my morning walks, which makes taking nice sharp pictures tricky. This was taken near the only level surface I could find that morning, which was a park bench behind some bushes.

It's not often one sees the older buses out on the road. I love them, though, because they take me back to being a kid, which I think is the last time I took public transit. At that time, they were green and ran on leaded gasoline. Or was it diesel?
