It's possible to distinguish at least three different periods of architecture: gothic revival, the brick period of the forties, and modern glass. I may have made up the last two . . .

We've had a few days respite from the rain which has been plaguing us since May, but on my way home today, we had a thunderstorm.

Although I think this model is actually a Dodge Charger, the lines remind me of the Camero. I love the old-style muscle cars, especially the ones from the 1970s.

Lumber

As part of the ongoing work on the street, a pile of lumber has been left in front of the house. I think they are going to use it to prop up the holes they dig to the water pipes.
