Joe Fafard Sculpture

Currently on display in the Ag Building. The art collection is staggering.

Audrey

This plant is crazy lush now. A few weeks ago, it looked like this and a month ago it was even sadder

View from Ag Building

It's possible to distinguish at least three different periods of architecture: gothic revival, the brick period of the forties, and modern glass. I may have made up the last two . . .

Soon-to-be lasered

There ought to be a few rules. The first I propose is: "No tattooing after the beginning or ending of a significant emotional entanglement.

Friday, July 23

Storm Clouds

We've had a few days respite from the rain which has been plaguing us since May, but on my way home today, we had a thunderstorm.

Thursday, July 22

Back Lane

The vegetation is looking pretty lush.

Dodge

Although I think this model is actually a Dodge Charger, the lines remind me of the Camero. I love the old-style muscle cars, especially the ones from the 1970s.

Sunday, July 18

Lumber

As part of the ongoing work on the street, a pile of lumber has been left in front of the house. I think they are going to use it to prop up the holes they dig to the water pipes.

Cloud Cover

It looks like an oil painting up there.

Y Lot

Why are parking lots so ugly?

Audrey

Audrey is definitely improving. See before.

Tuesday, July 13

School for the Deaf

I was on campus today as part of the course I'm taking. We stopped by the former school for the death, which now houses the Extension Division. A really lovely example of neo gothic architecture.

Toxicology

Some suspiciously lush undergrowth lurking under the Toxicology sign. Perhaps Poison Ivy is at work?

Library

I was at the library this afternoon for the teen readings, when I spotted this lovely display. The readings were great. Good group and lots of promise.

Rural Idyll

Love when I get to leave the city behind!

Wednesday, July 7

Bananas

It's hard to believe this volume of fruit will turn over in just a few days.

Tuesday, July 6

Roma

Visted St. Peter's Square this morning, via the poster in my room.

Monday, July 5

High Tech

The pipes around the neighbourhood are being cleaned, and this is part of the 'high tech' approach, which means the roads won't need to be dug up.

POP: 70 %

At first, it looked like it might rain.

But then a few minutes later, it looked like it was definitely going to rain.

Which is why I moved everything under the evergreen. All of the containers are pretty much saturated.

Dirt

No one's thrilled to see the dirt in the driveway again, but at least this year they made an effort to clear a path to the gate.

Jazz Festival Poster

I love how the sign promises valet parking yet specifies tap water. It's like a yuppie oxymoron.
