When I looked out this kitchen window this afternoon, I saw that the delphinium bush was full of sparrows. Best viewed in large.

Weather Watch

We've been under a tornado watch since the early afternoon. Nothing has touched down in the city yet, but there has been a lot of thunder.

Lime Ricky

When I was a kid, I remember visiting the local Pop Shoppe and picking out a 12 case with my brother. We had six choices each and lime ricky was usually one of them. I thought Pop Shoppes were a thing of the past, but I spotted this empty earlier today.

The framing is finally finished, and now it is ready for concrete.

Sadly the work in the yard has come to a standstill. The concrete won't be available until Thursday, and the framing isn't finished yet.

Darby, pictured with companion, appears to have fully recovered from his recent medical trauma and is enjoying his time in the sun. Not visible: shaved patch stretching from hip to hip.

Slowly things are starting to take shape. Perhaps, they will be able to finish framing today.

Landscaping

While work is presently at a standstill, the crew was hard at work yesterday and the day before excavating the front and back garden. Once the area has been staked out, it will be possible to pour the concrete. We're hoping the rain will hold off until next week.
