Home

I took this picture this morning before getting into my car. There was a hot air ballon up in the sky. It's a lot smaller in the picture than it appeared in the sky. I'm sure there is some fascinating scientific principle at work here, but for now the short answer is my eye has a better lens than my phone camera.

Steel Yard

Saskatoon is booming apparently as I drink my morning coffee. Traffic is quite bad even before 8.00 in the morning.

In Transit

Spotted in a remote boarding gate a Heathrow: a fiction dispensing vending machine.

Parks Road

Stumbling home after one too many glasses of wine, I decided to test the night setting on my camera. Results are blurry but inconclusive due to aforementioned wine consumption.

Snorkling

For my brother. From a single glance at these photos, he will know more about this vehicle than I will ever be able to understand.

Stormy Weather

It was raining at 4.00 this morning when I finally fell asleep. It's been chucking it down off and on all day. Judging by the clouds in the sky this afternoon, it is going to continue. Am very glad that I'll be tucked up in my room watching 6 Feet Under dvds.

Relentless: Does What It Says on the Tin

It's 2.00 am. Although I'm grateful to have written nearly 3,000 words, I am regretting my decision to consume an energy drink so late in the evening. Am completely wired.

Detail

Not much to report today. It's very muggy and overcast. I'm meeting friends after lunch for a theatre matinee.

Greyhound

My latest, and possibly most ill-advised, ebay purchase: the pewter keyring in the shape of a greyhound. I need to get out more.

Sunday, June 10

Kite Flying

It was a beautiful day on Sunday. Somewhere high up in the sky is a stunt kite, catching the wind.

Saturday, June 9

Trashing

Friday after exams, it looks like someone got hit by a feather pillow among other things. Magpie Lane was a fragrant mess on Saturday afternoon--eggs, cheap wine and other stuff I'd rather not think about.

Thursday, June 7

Lib

I took a sneaky pic inside while reading.

Tuesday, June 5

Typical Tuesday

Woke up early for a change, but I was still second in the shower. Someone hit the road at 7.00 this morning. After my shift in the library, I walked down to the post office then stopped for a coffee and a moment to read. Back at home now and getting ready to gear up again.

Monument

I found this monument near the church at St Cross.
